EpocCam may be best for
- Existing users maintaining a known working legacy setup
- Archived projects that still depend on the older camera name
Do not build a new workflow on an end-of-life app
If an existing EpocCam installation still works, replacing it may not be urgent. For a new iPhone camera setup, choose an actively maintained product.
Vendivo is an actively maintained Mac-and-OBS-focused option; migrate carefully if an old OBS scene still references EpocCam, and note that Vendivo's phone apps are not public yet.
