Features & Current Limits

Vendivo Desktop 1.0.0 build 41 is the current public Mac release. It turns cameras available to macOS into a managed live-selling production with show flow, clean program views, audio, preflight, recording, and OBS output.

Available now on Mac

Live Selling workspace

  • A persistent show queue with one product, card, break, or lot per line
  • Per-item starting views, audience labels, and private seller cues
  • Start Show, item progression, highlights, tie breaks, and End Show
  • A saved local show timeline separate from the public broadcast state

Camera production

  • Integrated Mac cameras, USB webcams, and other compatible cameras available to macOS
  • One-, two-, and three-camera landscape assignments
  • One- or two-camera Whatnot portrait assignments
  • Camera availability status and required program-picture tests
  • Clean confidence preview of the composed OBS program

Whatnot portrait workspace

  • Fixed 1080 × 1920 output
  • Seller and Product full-screen views
  • Stacked and Picture-in-Picture views with two distinct cameras
  • Left or right Picture-in-Picture seller placement
  • Local authenticated OBS WebSocket connection for Whatnot Show Tools
  • WHIP delivery controlled by Show Tools

Vendivo's queue, notes, status labels, warnings, preview badges, and branding stay out of the managed audience program.

Audio

  • System Default or a named macOS microphone
  • Live input confidence meter
  • Explicit Use This Microphone action
  • Managed microphone routing across production scenes
  • Deliberate video-only broadcast mode

OBS production engine

  • Automatic component checks and setup
  • Managed scene creation and synchronization
  • Normal Mode with the full OBS interface hidden
  • Pro Mode for intentional advanced OBS work
  • Standard RTMP/RTMPS output and OBS Virtual Camera compatibility

Recording and preflight

  • Configurable recording folder
  • Manual Whatnot recording from the live controls
  • Destination, recording, audio, engine, camera, and program-picture readiness checks
  • Blocking of risky settings changes during an active show, output, or recording

Current limits

  • The released desktop app is for macOS 12.3 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
  • Whatnot account, show, product, auction, chat, and order actions stay in Whatnot.
  • Start Show does not start the public destination broadcast, and End Show does not stop it.
  • OBS Virtual Camera carries no OBS audio.
  • Structural production settings lock while the local show, output, recording, or setup is active.
  • Camera Home and Vendivo Phone Camera (Direct) do not currently select local Mac cameras.

Forthcoming phone companions

Vendivo's iPhone and Android companions are still in store-release preparation and are not public customer downloads. Camera Home, direct phone-to-Mac camera publishing, USB/Wi-Fi phone transport, remote Director controls, phone recording, and mixed-phone lineups belong to that forthcoming workflow.

Preview requirements are separated under Android Setup and Wi-Fi Mode Requirements. They are not part of the current first-show path.

Privacy boundary

Vendivo does not require an account for the current Mac release. Camera video stays on the Mac for local-camera production; Spitfire Creative does not operate a cloud video relay that receives or stores the feed.
