Settings Reference

Use Show Settings in Live Selling as the main destination for production configuration. Contextual buttons such as Cameras…, Audio Settings…, and Whatnot Connection… open the matching section of the same settings experience.

For a first setup, follow Quick Start instead of configuring sections in arbitrary order.

Accounts & Marketplaces

Choose the marketplace mode before cameras or production scenes:

  • Manual / External keeps the standard landscape workflow without a direct marketplace integration.
  • Whatnot changes the program to a fixed 1080 × 1920 portrait workspace and uses Seller and Product camera roles.
  • eBay Live and TikTok Shop keep the standard landscape workflow and label the selling context.

The actual standard stream destination is selected later under Output & Recording. Changing marketplace mode can invalidate the current camera plan, production scenes, output configuration, and program-picture tests.

Studio

Studio settings define the live-selling workspace and its saved behavior. Changes here affect the current show experience rather than an external marketplace account.

After a structural studio change, follow any attention message shown in the main workspace before starting the show.

Cameras

Assign available cameras to the roles shown for the selected destination.

  • A one-camera Whatnot setup supplies Seller and Product full-screen views.
  • A two-camera Whatnot setup adds Stacked and Picture-in-Picture.
  • A two-camera landscape show uses Wide / Host and Product; a three-camera show uses Overview, Product, and Host.

Assignments save in this section. The finished picture is confirmed later under TEST CAMERA VIEWS.

Audio

Choose System Default or a named macOS input.

  1. Select Test Microphone and speak at show volume.
  2. Watch the level for healthy speech and clipping.
  3. Select Use This Microphone to apply it to managed scenes.

Enable Make Vendivo broadcasts video-only only when another deliberate path supplies audio. See Audio Setup.

Output & Recording

This section configures the show destination, recording folder, and output preflight.

  • Whatnot uses Whatnot Show Tools, WHIP, and the fixed portrait format.
  • The standard destination picker offers Selling marketplace, YouTube Live, Twitch, and Custom RTMP, using the provided RTMP or RTMPS server and private stream key.
  • Vendivo stores private stream keys in the Mac Keychain.

Select Apply & Verify after the production engine and scenes are ready. It applies output, recording-folder, and microphone configuration, then checks Production engine, Destination/Whatnot Show Tools configuration, Microphone, Internet, Recording storage, and Computer health. It does not create scenes, test an actual recording, verify camera picture, or prove that Whatnot Show Tools/WHIP is connected or live.

For Whatnot, recording is started manually with RECORD after Start Show and before starting the public broadcast. Standard RTMP can use Record with broadcast.

Integrations

Whatnot Connection… configures the authenticated local OBS WebSocket connection used by Whatnot Show Tools.

  • Address: 127.0.0.1
  • Port: 4455
  • Password: at least eight characters

Select Verify & Apply, then copy the applied password into Whatnot Show Tools. This is local connection authentication, not a Whatnot account password or stream key.

Production Engine

Select Set Up OBS Automatically for the first setup. Select Sync OBS Setup after changing cameras, destination, or managed production structure.

This section installs or checks the Vendivo Camera plugin, enables private local OBS control, starts or reconnects the engine, and creates or synchronizes the managed production scenes.

Apply & Verify does not create those scenes. It applies and inspects configuration after production setup is ready; camera-picture and actual-recording tests remain separate.

Normal Mode and Pro Mode

Normal Mode is the customer-facing workflow. Vendivo controls OBS while keeping its full interface out of the way.

Open the ellipsis menu (More Studio controls) and choose Open Pro Mode only when you intentionally need custom OBS filters, transforms, sources, or routing. Pro Mode opens the same production state.

If the show is interrupted and the same camera or engine can return, select Recover or Recover Program. Before a structural change, stop the public broadcast and confirm off-air, stop and finalize recording, select End Show, and wait for output or setup transitions to finish. Then synchronize, apply, and test again in Vendivo.

Settings that lock during a show

Vendivo prevents risky production changes while a local show, broadcast, recording, output transition, or setup operation is active. If a field or action is locked:

  1. Stop the public broadcast and confirm it is off air.
  2. Stop and finalize recording.
  3. Select End Show if the local timeline is active or interrupted.
  4. Wait for any broadcast, recording, or setup transition to finish.
  5. Return to Show Settings and make the change.
  6. Repeat the affected production, output, and picture checks.
